At the request of the Hermitage Theater we have renamed our ballet Russian Seasons (in honor of Sergey Diaghilev) while it is on tour in the United States but it is exactly the same wonderful company and cast that came to America in 2008. In Russia we now perform at the Palace Theater and The Hermitage as The Theater "Russian Ballet."
The Theater Russian Ballet Company is the most exciting development in Russian ballet in the last half century. It became so by insisting on a strict return to the past when Russian Ballet was clearly the best in the world. On our premier American tour of February, 2008 the cast included ten of the finest soloists in all of Russian Ballet. Russian Season’s artistic director, Victor Korolkov, an Honored Artist of Russia, as well as an Honored Man of Russian Art, leaves no stone unturned in hiring the finest dancers for every foreign tour. Future plans for American tours include the addition of the troupe’s live orchestra starting in 2010.
Chief Administrator, Ludmila Bragina, of The Theater Russian Ballet is concerned about sub standard ballet companies coming from Russia representing themselves as prestigious Russian ballets and constantly disappointing American audiences. This is one ballet company that will always deliver classical ballet at its finest. No expense is spared in the creation of beautiful sets and costumes for each and every performance! The dancers are well compensated and take great pride in each and every performance.
If you are lucky enough to travel to St.Petersburg, please attend a performance at The Palace Theater or The Hermitage Theater. Advance tickets may be purchased at http://www.hermitageballet.com/
