The Russian Seasons Ballet Company was born in 1991. It was the SojusSportTheater that provided the financial support and the energy necessary to make the ballet company a great success. It has always performed at the Hermitage Theater and is very proud of its connection with the Theater. However, because it performs all over the world and drew its inspiration from Sergey Diaghilev′s famous Russian Seasons, a decision was made to name the company after that august body.

A prime member of the founding members was Oleg Vinogradov, a choreographer of the Mariinski Theater. Oleg and others determined that the ballet would remain as true to the time honored traditions of Russian Ballet as possible. As a result, the company has always hired the best artistic directors, orchestra leaders, and performers. The Russian Seasons Ballet Company has been touring Western Europe and the Far East for nearly twenty years and just concluded its sensational premier tour of the American Southeast.

The repertoire of the Russian Seasons Ballet includes such timeless traditional numbers as Cinderella, Swan Lake, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Chopiniana and its world famous Gala Concert. The list of soloists that have performed for the company includes Uliana Lopatkina, Anastasia Volochkova, Farukh Ruzimatov, and countless others. During the recent American tour of 2008, Russian Seasons boasted the strongest contingent of young soloists that the Russians have sent to perform in America in a single cast. This extraordinary company that performs on Russia′s oldest and most beautiful stage will be back on an annual basis permanently.
